At Cheney Insurance, we are very fortunate to have Suzanne Strachan as President. She manages our day to day operations and sets our course for the future. In addition, Suzanne assists Dennis Hilton, CEO in the overseeing and operating of Newcastle Realty and Newcastle Vacation Rentals, which along with Cheney Insurance comprise the Cheney Financial Group. She coordinates all employee relations, benefits, staff education, mandated training, disaster planning and community outreach. Suzanne oversees the technology infrastructure serving all three companies, insurance company partnerships, marketing, and attracting and evaluating potential talent.
This October 5th, Suzanne was elected to the Board of Directors of Maine Independent Agents Association (MIAA). MIAA is an organization which represents, supports, and promotes independent insurance agents in the state of Maine. They do so through education, access to insurance markets and insurance products that may not be available to smaller independent agencies, political advocacy, and encouraging the next generation.
Suzanne is a great supporter of personal and professional development, and giving back to our communities. These are qualities she instills in our team. We are excited for Suzanne as she takes on this new opportunity.
